Cossogno
On the paths of nature and history
Description and Historical Notes
Cossogno is a crossroads of two realities: one kilometer from the provincial capital, Verbania, and a privileged gateway to the Park, one step away from the town and totally inserted in the history of rural mountain civilization. The hamlet Cicogna, with its 12 inhabitants, is the "small capital of the Park". The other hamlet, Ungiasca, is a suggestive natural balcony on the Verbania plain and on Lake Maggiore.
