In S.Maria Maggiore, situated in the heart of Vigezzo plateau and surrounded by charming mountains, the ancient and the new, traditional art and culture and the modernity of the accommodation structures, sports plants, and recreation places live together.
The noble figurative tradition thanks to which Vigezzo has been called "Valley of the Painters" continues with the School of Art "Rossetti Valentini".
The Visitor Center is situated in Buttogno country hamlet, the hometown of the painters Peretti who, with Lorenzo Peretti senior (1774-1851) brought honor to the painting of Vigezzo; some of his works are still preserved in various local churches.
The Visitor Center is managed by the "Club Alpino Italiano - Sezione Vigezzo" according to the principles that also inspired the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism (ECST).
This year's theme is focused on the Park as a vector for young talents and as an element of integration and cultural contamination in the Vigezzo Valley. On the upper floor of the Visitor Center, four young artists will exhibit their works: Daniele Giambi (climber) who paints elements of the landscape and fauna in oil; Bianca Herghiligiu, young Romanian who paints nature with personal and distinctive traits; Serena Guerra, creator of wooden works and themed paintings; Mario Borgnis (writer) with his two books: one tells the story of Antonio Mozzanino and the other talks about the tragic end of Romano Sotta in Alpe Basso.

From July, 27th to September, 1st: every day, from 10am to noon and from 4 to 6pm
