View on MapMunicipality: VogognaSituated in Vogogna near the Biraghi Villa, park's head office, the GEOLAB offers schools and universities an equipped area for the study and the didactics of themes related to Earth Science. Equipped with a stereo microscope and a polarized light microscope featuring high-definition video cameras and video devices, the GEOLAB also provides a collection of thin sections of the main rocks in the area, a mineralogical and lithological collection, interactive instruments with pictures and animation of the main themes related to the geology of the Southern Alps' Crystalline Basement.
The laboratory is dedicated to the memory of Professor Luigi Burlini and it was realized with the scientific advice of Professor Attilio Boriani and of Valeria Caironi (University of Milan - Earth Science Department).
Guided visits are available. It is also possible to self-manage the laboratory according to specific agreements.
